How to create and use generators

Generators are tools that help quickly create specific types of content for various needs. Each generator is configured to produce a certain text type based on provided data, speeding up and simplifying content creation.

CogniVis offers ready-made generators that enable quick creation of specific content types, such as product descriptions, advertising content, blog snippets, or customer responses.

Besides ready options, you can also create your own custom generators. This lets you design tools tailored to your unique content needs, making CogniVis a flexible solution for any content creation.

How to create your own generators?

Go to the Admin Panel, located in the top right corner of the screen.

Open the "Generator Builder" section in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Select "New Generator."

Configure the generator

  • Choose a name:
    • In the "Who am I" section, enter a name for your generator. It should describe its purpose, making it easy to identify later.:
  • Choose an assistant:
    • Select an assistant or persona responsible for generating content. This tailors the generator’s responses to the assistant’s style or specialty. If you need help creating an assistant, see the guide "How to create an assistant and how it works.":
  • Disable the search tool (optional):
    • If the generator doesn’t need access to external documents or search functions, check the "Disable Search Tool" option. This will speed up the generator’s performance.:
  • Add input fields:
    • On the right side, you will see options for various input data types, e.g.
      • Text - short text entries
      • Textarea - longer texts
      • Number - numeric values
      • Checkbox - yes/no options
      • Select - dropdown list
      • Range input - selecting a range (e.g., slider)
      • File input - file uploads
    • Drag the needed input elements to the workspace on the left to customize how users will enter data into the generator.
  • Arrange and customize input fields:
    • After adding elements, you can organize them and customize labels or options to match the generator's purpose.
  • Create the generator:
    • When everything is ready, click the CREATE button at the bottom to save and activate the new generator.

How to use generators?

You can find generators in the menu at the top of the screen. This is where you can use both ready-made generators and your own custom generators created earlier.

To use a generator, simply select it from the list by clicking its name.

Each generator has a different structure and various fields to fill in. Just follow the instructions and click “Generate response”.

You can specify how many responses you want to get by changing the number in the dropdown menu next to the “Generate response” button.

After receiving a response, you have the following options

  • Edit the response in the text editor
  • Continue modifying the response in the AI chat
  • Export the response
  • Copy the response
  • Translate the response.

You can also simply make additional changes in the generator form and generate new responses.
