Introduction

What is ClickUp?

CogniVis AI is a platform that enables you to pull data from different sources and combine them with each other to create practically useful AI tools. Sources may include your internal company knowledgebase and a variety of most popular business apps like GitHub, Jira, Slack, and more.

This enables you to easily create AI chatbot assistants (internal), custom generators and even embeddable AI chat widgets trained on your data.

How CogniVis AI works with ClickUp?

ClickUp Connector pulls in all relevant data from a specified ClickUp workspace. It then processes this data to generate insights, reports, and summaries.

Configuration

Generate a Personal Access Token

To connect CogniVis AI with ClickUp, you need to generate a Personal Access Token in ClickUp. This token will be used to authenticate the connection between CogniVis AI and ClickUp.

Sign In

Sign into your ClickUp account.

Navigate to API keys

Go to settings.

In the sidenav, click on Apps.

Generate a new token

Click on Generate button.

Add the connector to CogniVis

Navigate to CogniVis Connectors

In your platform, go to the Admin Panel, which you can find in the top right corner of the screen.

Go to the Add Connector section in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Then, search for and select the ClickUp connector.

Add your ClickUp token

Add your ClickUp token and Team ID from above.

Specify the repo

Choose the type of connector from which you want to import tasks.

  • This might include the Entire Workspace, specific Spaces, Lists, or Folders.
  • To retrieve tasks from the entire workspace, simply choose Entire Workspace from the dropdown and skip adding any ID(s).
  • To import tasks from designated spaces, folders, or lists, pick the corresponding option from the dropdown and input the ID(s) below. You need to add at least one ID.
  • You can locate the space ID(s), folder ID(s), and list ID(s) in the ClickUp web URL. For instance, if you access a folder in ClickUp, you'll find the folder ID displayed in the URL address bar.
  • If you want to retrieve and index comments for each task, check the "Retrieve Task Comments?" option. If indexing task comments is not desired, leave this option unchecked.
  • Press Connect buton to start the indexing process.
