Introduction

What is Dropbox?

Dropbox Connector pulls in all relevant data from a specified Dropbox account. It then processes this data to generate insights, reports, and summaries.

Configuration

Generate a Dropbox API token

To connect CogniVis AI with Dropbox, you need to generate a API Token in Dropbox. This token will be used to authenticate the connection between CogniVis AI and Dropbox.

Sign In

Sign into your Dropbox account.

Navigate to Token Settings

Go to https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps and press the Create app button found at the upper right.

Basic informations

  • Select Scoped access
  • Select Full Dropbox as the type of access
  • Name your token something like "CogniVis Connector" and press Creat app button

Specify the permissions

Go to the Permissions tab

  • Select files.content.read
  • Select sharing.write
  • Press Submit to apply the changes

Generate a API token

Go to the Settings tab. Move down to the OAuth 2 section and press Generate button to get an access token.

Add the connector to CogniVis

Navigate to CogniVis Connectors

In your platform, go to the Admin Panel, which you can find in the top right corner of the screen.

Go to the Add Connector section in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Then, search for and select the Dropbox connector.

Add token

Add your Dropbox API token & save it.

Note: This connector can only be linked once.

Define access

After deciding whether the documents should be public or not, press the connect button.
