Introduction

What is Guru?

Guru is a knowledge management tool that helps teams capture, organize, and share information in one central place. It integrates with various communication and productivity platforms, enabling users to access relevant knowledge quickly and efficiently, enhancing collaboration and productivity.

What is CogniVis AI?

CogniVis AI is a platform that enables you to pull data from different sources and combine them with each other to create practically useful AI tools. Sources may include your internal company knowledgebase and a variety of most popular business apps like GitHub, Jira, Slack, and more.

This enables you to easily create AI chatbot assistants (internal), custom generators and even embeddable AI chat widgets trained on your data.

How CogniVis AI works with Guru?

The Guru connector in CogniVis integrates with Guru to pull and index various information from Guru cards.

What exact informations are pulled:

  • Cards
  • Card title
  • Card content
  • Card URL
  • Card last update date
  • Card creator

Configuration

Generate a Personal Access Token

To connect CogniVis AI with Guru, you need to generate a Personal Access Token in Guru. This token will be used to authenticate the connection between CogniVis AI and Guru. See the detailed instructions in the Guru Personal Access Tokens guide.

Sign In

Sign into your Guru account.

Navigate to Token Settings

Go to Manage section. In the 2nd sidenav, click Apps and Integrations and then select API Access.

Open token generation page

Generate a new token

Click on Generate user token button

  • Select the user for whom the access token should be generated.
  • And click on Generate token button

Add the connector to CogniVis

Navigate to CogniVis Connectors

In your platform, go to the Admin Panel, which you can find in the top right corner of the screen.

Go to the Add Connector section in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Then, search for and select the Guru connector.

Add username and token

Add your Username and User Token & press UPDATE.

Note: This connector can only be linked once.

Define access

After deciding whether the documents should be public or not, press the connect button.
